I'm thinking it might have been faked. I would like to know a little more about it. It is two-tiered, rounded triangular with legs that are tapered, the finish is more of a "chestnut" color than the traditional blond of most HW. I have what seems to be a child's tea cup & saucer. This set on the back of the saucer says NASCO (printed), then under that it says Underglaze (written), under that Hand Painted (written), and under that it says printed Made in U.S.A.. I am assuming that the pieces are ceramic. The painting that was done is of large pink four petal flower and to the right and left of the large petal is one small blue flower and from the bottom and top of the large flower are a few green leaves with some stems. So I am hoping that you might be able to help me in figuring out if this set is of any value. P.S. There are 5 cups and 5 saucers. Any help would be greatly appreciated. claudia.bell2@verizon.net

Please help me identify a tea set that consists of one teapot appox. 9-1/4" tall including the finnial on the lid, one creamer and 2 sugar bowls with double handles (no lids). The only marks I find are the words "Quadruple Plate" surrounding a symbol of a circle containing a lion standing on all fours and facing left (the far rear leg stepping forward) with a long tail curving up over it's back almost to it's head then up and back (almost looks like an "S" on it's left side) and the number "6". They all have beaded rims ,four ornate feet and the same finish and design. The teapot is slender curving out to a very wide but shallow bottom. From the rim down is a shiny finish until it meets the wide bottom which has a "satin" (dull) finish containing the design. The design sort of looks like a basket with a handle with leaves and palm fronds coming up and out of the right and left sides. It looks carved, stamped and etched.  mcjones@bresnan.net
