Local Beaches:  Craigville Beach is one of the largest and most popular on Cape Cod. The water is a very pleasant temperature well into September, and the gentle swells are refreshing compared to more placid Cape waters. There are lifeguards, and bathhouses in season, and you can always catch a game of volleyball. The long beach, and foamy surf make for beautiful walks in quieter seasons.
  Covell Beach, Keys Beach, Veterans Beach, and Kalmus Beach are also minutes from the cottage. Kalmus Beach is one of the best northeast beaches for windsurfing.
