Located in West Hyannisport, just under a mile from famous Craigville Beach.

Surrounded by an abundance of beautiful flower, and vegetable gardens,
butterflies, and birds on a short cul-de-sac, this vacation

Local Beaches: Craigville Beach is one of the
largest and most popular on Cape Cod. Your stay at Lorimar cottage will be
enhanced by its 
proximity
to this wonderful warm Nantucket Sound beach with 5 miles of sand. The water is
a very pleasant temperature well into September, and the gentle swells
are refreshing compared to more placid Cape waters. There are lifeguards, and
bathhouses in season, and you can always catch a game of volleyball. The long
beach, and foamy surf make for beautiful walks in quieter seasons.
Covell Beach, Keys Beach, Veterans Beach, and Kalmus Beach are
also minutes from the cottage. Kalmus Beach is one of the best northeast beaches
for windsurfing.

The kitchen at Lorimar Cottage includes microwave, gas stove, refrigerator, coffee maker, blender, pots, pans, dinnerware, and flatware. There is also an assortment of teas, coffee and condiments.
The cottage is also equipped with a hair dryer, clothes iron, paper products, and personal amenities to make your packing easier. And the best part is that you won't have to worry about packing bed linens, and towels.
No need to drag beach towels and chairs along with you. These items are already provided at Lorimar Cottage, ready for your use. Don't forget to leave room in your suitcase for new purchases, as the Cape Cod Mall is less than 4 miles away.
There are games and books for some down time between activities. Play a good old fashioned game of Scrabble, Monopoly or cards. There is also cable TV to increase your early morning, and late evening entertainment options.
For those who need to keep in touch with the office, or surf the web, bring your laptop. High speed wireless access is an available option.
Enjoy your morning coffee on the sun-drenched deck, or the beautifully landscaped grounds. Rest in the shady front yard, cook up your fresh catch on the grill, relax with a book, or play a game with your family. You will find patio furniture, an umbrella and a cooler for the beach.
You can bike to the beach or to Main Street. There are numerous bike rental places in Hyannis.

bookshops, boutiques, a carousel, miniature golf, and family amusement
centers.
Take
a ferry
to Martha’s Vineyard or Nantucket, catch a whale-watching
cruise out of Barnstable Harbor, a deep sea fishing
expedition from Hyannis, take a drive along Old King's Highway, and
do a little antiquing, catch a game of golf
at any of the nearby golf courses, or just enjoy the sea breezes in the backyard
of this vacation cottage.
